A friend at university first got me interested in Malaysian politics, so when I was offered an internship with an MP, I took the role. In that time I saw a community struggling to manage their finances and I learned about how different life circumstances can create different priorities. This is something I always consider when designing interventions — how can we help create an environment where individuals and communities can make the best choice for themselves? In my free time I volunteer with an NGO that empowers women through entrepreneurial skills development. I am always inspired to work with those who do what they can to uplift others. I also love dining out with friends and exploring new places through travel. Good food is a big deal in Malaysia!
