One of the things I really get worked up about is injustice in this world. Around 2011, I was attending a business conference where I asked myself “What am I doing here?” Rather than making wealthy people more wealthy, I wanted to use my skills to make a difference to those in our world who need opportunities. So I jacked everything in to retrain in community development, among other things. We are facing huge problems in our world and while our work might not seem to make much of a difference on the global scale, for each individual we help, it makes a world of difference. Whenever we complete a project it’s great to reflect on what we achieved as a team, doing remarkable things as we cross the finish line together. It’s that teamwork and collaboration, making a difference every day, that gives me life.
