I love travelling and have moved countries a number of times throughout my life. It’s had a major impact on the way I see the world and my priorities. I enjoy working in small organizations and the dynamic of a team environment, so I always gravitate towards working in shared spaces, even if I am remote. There are two things I look for in any organisation I partner with. It has to either bring economic empowerment and dignified work to people or be linked into the Middle East Region – ideally both! To affect the changes that are needed in our world, I believe getting the big players on board is key. They are big because they are good at what they do in some way, and that can extend to doing the right thing for their people and supply chains, because the long-term economic benefits are there. Over the years, I have learned that when I am entering a new environment, it’s always important to stop, listen, and work within the existing systems before trying to make too many changes immediately. What is already in place can turn out to have a lot within it that makes sense once you fully understand why it was put in place. To relax, I love to watch live sports and films. Good food is always a highlight too
