Early on in my bachelors degree, we were asked to programme a calculator. I didn’t know what I was doing, but when I eventually got to the end, I was able to come up with something functional that people could use. I knew then that I was going to be writing code for the rest of my life. But within that, I’m always thinking about the problem that I’m solving with it and who it is impacting, from building applications to help doctors in public health in Uganda to Just Good Work where we’re helping people in tricky situations. I am passionate about technology as a means for a foundation for future development, using it to work towards being part of a forward thinking, goal- oriented global society. I enjoy creating spaces where people enjoy what they do because if people are happy they will give you their best, it doesn’t feel like a task.
