Many years ago, walking along a busy highway in Egypt with our young family, we came across a little boy asleep on the pavement behind a blanket of wares he had been selling all day. His vulnerability to abuse and harm impacted me like never before. I prayed for the chance to help make things better for children like him. So, some years later, when FiftyEight was invited to partner with others to identify interventions to combat the worst forms of child labour through the PACE programme, we knew it was the beginning of a significant journey for us. I am inspired by those who are in it for the long haul- the ones working for deep systemic change. They know they may not get to witness the full impact of their efforts within their lifetime, but they do it anyway.
