"

The last few years have ushered me towards being comfortable in my own skin and it’s been great being able to bring my fullest self to work. I’m a people person and I really get to channel that part of me at FiftyEight because it is about building those relationships here, it’s not just transactional. Having grown up in Zimbabwe and then moving to the UK in my early teens, I’m acutely aware of how issues such as child labour can be viewed from the outside. I’d like the emphasis on understanding social norms to be more common-place in this space. Where we’re not just going in with western ideals, but questioning what works here, what is acceptable to these communities and what is the culture? Understanding this first is key when considering the interventions.
