I grew up in a post- war environment where human rights were often at risk. The transitional period brought much instability in terms of social, educational, and financial aspects, particularly for the young generations. It made me value the hard work which can give you opportunities in life. Having that background motivated me to apply for a scholarship abroad. When I started working at FiftyEight it became clear to me that the situations some people are facing in real life are complex and multifaceted, and often it’s not enough to document it in a report. That’s how I feel about what we do with Just Good Work. We are harnessing the diverse abilities within the team to influence and change what happens by directly engaging with people. We are contributing into changing the situation for every single individual who is reaching out to us and I find that very satisfying because it makes me feel like the work that I do matters.
